An open house to discuss backyard chicken keeping in Fargo will be Wednesday, March 22, from 4-5:30 p.m., in the Oak Room at Fargo Cass Public Health. The open house will begin with a short presentation about the draft.
The Fargo City Commission directed the city attorney to work with Fargo Cass Public Health and other city departments to update Article 12-03, and other aligning codes, to allow for the keeping of chickens in residential backyards as an accessory use to household living.
The first reading of the draft will go in front of the Fargo City Commission on April 10. To view the draft, go to at http://www.letseatlocal.org
